Carrie Anderson

10 years ago, I was introduced to Yoga during a girls trip to The Kripaulu Institute. At the time, I was doing a lot of endurance running and thought that Yoga was a waste of time and not the calorie burn I was used to getting during workouts.

But something from that experience imprinted on my heart and began to grow stronger over the next few years. I started consistently practicing Power Yoga while I was training for a marathon and while my body was getting stronger, the change in my mindset was the most profound. I began to feel limitless.

Running and Yoga gave me new confidence that improved all areas of my life; my relationships with family and friends, health and future goals. I decided to go through Yoga Teacher Training to deepen my own knowledge, without the intention to teach. During the process I knew I had to move through the fear of teaching and just try. And in life, the things we do that scare us, are the things that build us. My yoga journey is a comittment to education, application and determination...with a lot of laughter along the way! I believe we have to find the Yin/Yang balance in our lives to be able to experience all that life has to offer.

And to SAY YES as much as we can!In 2022 | completed my 500 hour advanced teacher training through Rebecca Sirman Yoga. The Anatomy based education focused on helping students find sustained, injury free longevity in their practice..

ALISHA CARPENTER

After 18 years in banking, Alisha left the corporate world to find balance and health for her family and herself. She studied health and nutrition to become a PN1 certified nutrition coach. Alisha quickly found that she truly loved helping others, and became a fitness coach, and a certified fitness instructor in three Beachbody programs: Insanity, PiYo, and Core de Force.

She later discovered peace, strength, and passion in YOGA and became 200-hour certified under Rebecca Sirman.  Alisha has continued her education by completing her 300-hour advanced yoga teacher certification with Rebecca Sirman Farr in 2022.

Through her own journey to health, Alisha lost 30 pounds, reduced her stress, and became pain-free for the first time in her adult life. She now shares her learnings online, in person, on the water, on the beach, and in the studio classroom.

JAMI CITRANO

Since 2005, Jami Citrano has been a licensed and practicing massage therapist in Maryland. Her interest in the mind and body connection led her to yoga where she fell in love with Vinyasa Flow. She studied under Rebecca Sirman’s 200 YRT and, although she did not plan on becoming an instructor, she has found a new passion that closely aligns with her career in massage therapy — helping people. As an instructor, Jami looks to inspire power and encourage mindful peace while focusing on proper body movement and alignment. As a lifelong athlete, Jami understands the importance of flexibility and strength as well as the therapeutic benefits of yoga and massage therapy. Jami began playing field hockey when she was twelve years old and she never lost her love of the sport. She has coached several teams including Pocomoke High, the Shorebyrds Club team, and is currently a coach for Delmar High School. In all she does — massage therapy, yoga, and coaching — she works to achieve a balance between the mind, body, and spirit and to bring that energy to others. On a personal note, she lives in Worcester County with her husband, daughter, and their dog, King. Good music, good friends, and good vibes are the secrets to her happy heart.

Mary Helmuth

I first found yoga as a way to stretch and get a sweat in, but I quickly fell in love with the practice and found myself on my mat as often as I could. I never looked back! I took my first 200-hr RYT at Yogavibez in Ocean City, MD under Dawn Ehman, Jared Rowan, and Emmanuelle Clouser. This really deepened my understanding of yoga, especially the asana practice. In my classes I love to combine breath movement with creative sequencing, music, and sweat.

SYBIL MEYER

Yoga has been part of my life longer then I can remember. After a running injury, I finally made my way to the mat full time and never looked back! I took my first 200 hour Power Yoga and Sculpt training in 2009 at Core Power in Denver CO. A few years later, to deepen my practice, I decided to complete my 500 hour training in Boulder CO.

After a quick pit stop in Baltimore, I finally made my way from the Rocky Mountains to the Eastern Shore! In my classes I love to combine breath movement with creative sequencing, music, and occasional cheesy jokes. I truly believe the hardest part of any yoga class is finding the time to make it to the mat, once you roll out your mat, the rest of the world melts away. When my sandy toes are not on my mat, you can find me on the beach with my pups!

TANIA PRITZ

Dr. Tania Pritz has a colorful past as the premier pediatric and perinatal chiropractor on the East Coast, as well as a chiropractor to the stars. When not in her office, she worked on movie sets and on-site at many entertainment venues for almost 3 decades. Her “Act 2” found her spending more and more time on her yoga mat and leading others on theirs. She now teaches yoga in coastal Delaware and Charleston, SC. Her extensive background in coaching patients toward health and wellness, as well as vast anatomical knowledge, gives her that “special something” that keeps her classes full and her heart fuller! Tania has been practicing yoga since she tore her Achilles tendon training for a triathlon in 2006. She went kicking and screaming into her first class, and hasn't left her mat yet. Yoga has become her exercise, her church and her therapy. While on a yoga retreat to Santorini, Greece, she realized she wanted to lead others in the intimate setting that a retreat can provide. She completed her YTT under the tutelage of Dimitra Kotanides of Dimitra Yoga in Lewes, Delaware, where she taught the anatomy portion of the course. She has also studied under Sean Corne, and in the Sacred Valley of Peru. Tania was most recently a counselor at Soul Camp, "adult sleep away camp for the soul". She is a continuing student of the Jivamukti style of yoga, which incorporates pranayama, chanting and spiritual teaching in addition to the asana, and Tania will often incorporate this into her own teaching.

Tania and her husband travel extensively and one of her great joys is studying and practicing yoga around the globe. Her healing energy will leave you feeling like the best version of yourself!

Tara Gush

Today I spoke with a caterpillar. I had only one question. “How do you accept change with such grace?” I asked….@wordsbyemeas

As Tara began to navigate many life changes several years ago, she knew that she would do so with grace and the support of her yoga practice. While she had made several attempts to dive into a yoga practice in her younger days of triathlons and Crossfit competitions, it wasn’t until life altering experiences led her to truly find and develop her “practice”. She has completed a Buti Yoga, Primal Flow Yoga and 200 Hour Certification, Trauma Informed Yoga Training and a Holistic Gut Health and Mindset Coaching Certification. She is currently enrolled in Phoenix Rising working towards her 900 Hour Yoga Therapy License. Her yoga flows weave energetic playlists with creative dynamic vinyasa flows, intuitive and primal movements as well as breath work with a focus on integrating the mind, body and soul. She believes yoga to the be the key to all things both on and off the mat.

In addition to her yoga certifications, Tara has a BA in special education from West Chester University, a masters degree in Reading from Wilmington College, a professional dog training license and is trained to teach MOTR Pilates and Spin classes. Renah Scudlark

in 2020 I completed my 200 hour training with Rebecca Sirman. In 2022, I completed a second 200 hour training with Jesse Cassady.

My current teaching style is music-driven. My classes are grounded and powerful and require you to use every inch of your mat. But most importantly, I'm there to remind you to breath-with purpose and on purpose. My hope is that you leave sweaty and stronger, with renewed energy, feeling inspired, and that you get to know yourself more. Because if we don't truly know ourselves, how can we best care for and love ourselves?

Ava Vandornick

Ava completed her 200 hour Yoga teacher training in April 2022 under Emmanuelle Clouser, Jared Rowan, and Dawn Ehmon. Ava came to yoga in 2019 after growing up as a dancer. LARRY BEERMAN

Larry began his yoga journey almost 10 years ago in Northern Virginia after years of being a long distance runner. Out of curiosity, he tried a yoga class at his local gym and was hooked. Desiring to build upon his years of practice and to stay involved in yoga long term, Larry completed his teacher training in early 2022 at Down Dog Yoga in Herndon, Virginia. Larry has cultivated a strong Baptiste power flow and wishes to share this with all who desire to sweat, breathe intentionally, and deepen their practice. Larry and his wife moved to Ocean View full time in 2016.

TIERNEY BRICKER

If you would have told Tierney a decade ago that she would be teaching yoga, she would have laughed in your face before continuing her ongoing mission to try every high intensity workout in Los Angeles. But after taking her first yoga sculpt class, she became obsessed and now thinks of sculpt as her gateway drug into the world of yoga. So, when she turned 30, Tierney decided she wanted to do something that scared the crap out of her and signed up for yoga sculpt teacher training at Corepower Yoga in Studio City, a decision that changed her life, her mindset toward exercise and her relationship with her body.
Tierney—or coach TB, as her friends call her—taught yoga sculpt on the weekends and took any chance to sub before or after her day job as a writer for E! News. She believes everything deserves to be loved and everything deserves to be made fun of, including yourself.
